Where Rotary Jet Pumps Are Used

Check the required flow and head, liquid properties, inlet supply and changes in demand.

01

Low flow and high head are the starting point

The standard range is 0.05–70 m³/h, with head up to 1,050 m. The liquid, speed and pick-up tube determine the selected operating point. Different processes can need the same head but different temperatures and inlet conditions.

Use the series limits for a shortlist and the selected performance curve for the actual requirement.

02

01 / Boiler feedwater

Boiler feedwater needs high head at a small flow, which this pump produces in one stage.

Send us: water temperature, feed flow, required head, inlet pressure, NPSHa and low-load demand.

03

02 / Carbon black quench water

Single-stage pressure generation and steady pressure at small flows suit carbon black quench-water supply.

Send us: water properties, particles and their size and hardness, normal and maximum flow, head, inlet conditions and any observed tube wear.

04

03 / Reverse-osmosis feed

Reverse-osmosis feed needs high water pressure at the system flow, without several pressure-building stages.

Send us: water properties, temperature, flow, required delivery pressure, inlet pressure and changing demand.

05

04 / Central high-pressure cleaning

A shared cleaning supply can keep steady pressure as outlets close, with a continuous bypass maintaining flow near the shut-off point.

Send us: flow with the intended outlets open, minimum demand, head, temperature, inlet supply and controls for the bypass.

06

05 / Water injection and produced-water reinjection

Water injection and produced-water reinjection need high head within the selected pump flow range.

Send us: water properties, temperature, flow, inlet and outlet pressure, gas and solids. Increasing gas reduces flow and head; particle content affects tube and material selection.

07

06 / Chemical and petrochemical process liquids

Chemical and petrochemical transfer can require high pressure at modest flow, with wetted materials and seals selected for the liquid.

Send us: liquid name and composition, density, viscosity, temperature, flow, head, inlet pressure and seal-flushing requirements. Materials include carbon steel, ductile iron, 304 and 316 stainless steel, or duplex stainless steel; API seals and flushing systems are available.

08

07 / Paper-machine showers

Paper-machine showers benefit from steady water pressure as demand varies within the selected operating range.

Send us: water flow, head, temperature, inlet supply, solids and demand range. State whether one shower or a shared supply is served, so the low-flow bypass can be reviewed.

09

Define the equipment to supply

Choose a bare-shaft pump, motor-pump set or complete skid. For replacement work, identify any piping and drive to retain. Photos are optional.

The proposal includes the selected speed and tube, a performance curve and project drawings. State where inlet and outlet pressures are measured if head has not been calculated.
